Good day cattle producers, This is Blaine Huston reporting from the Gladstone Auction mart for Tuesday November 11th. The market was steady to higher than what we seen last week. We sold 1548 head yesterday.

Steers:
3-400lbs- 830-950
4-500lbs- 710-812
5-600lbs- 605-709
6-700lbs- 490-618
7-800lbs- 440-548
8-900lbs- 400-489.50
Heifers
3-400lbs 710-820
4-500lbs-600-697
5-600lbs-505-624
6-700lbs-440-571
7-800lbs-410-469
8-900lbs-340-430
Here are some market highlights from yesterday’s sale:
-3 red steers weighing 525 pounds bring $7.03 a pound ($3690 a head)
- Black steer calves come in the ring weighing 675 pounds and cash in at $5.6750 a pound ($3830 per head)
- 5 red and black calves weighing 734 pounds stamp there ticket at $5.37 a pound ($3942 a head)
On the Hiefer side of things:
- 19 red and black exotic heifers weighing 548 pounds bring $6.22 per pound ($3408 per head)
- 7 red exotic heifers weigh 609 pounds and fetch $5.71 per pound ($3476 per head)
- 5 Red and black Heifers weighing 888 pounds bring $4.20 a pound ($3730 a head)
Plainer type cattle are still seeing some discounts.
As you can see the market was steady to stronger then last week.
